Panel construction
In order to reduce costs, to minimize the risk of errors arising during manufacture or for specific technical reasons, PCBs can be combined in a panel.
We can produce custom made panels or ones composed by us keeping in mind customer requirements.
Panels can be simple or complex. You can separate them by milling, milling with bridges, scoring or a combination between all.
Panel divided by scoring
If the requirement for accuracy of each PCB size within the panel is ± 0.2mm, the PCBs should better be separated by scoring. Panels with V-cut do not necessarily need a panel border to create mechanical stability. The panel border on V-cut panels is mainly for ease of handling during the assembly process (tooling holes, fiducials).

Panel of PCBs divided by routing
Suitable for higher size accuracy. The PCBs are connected by non-routed bars (bridges). When separating the PCBs, the remaining bar material should be mechanically removed.

Panel divided by scoring and routing
In this case the requirement for accuracy is higher for Y-axis (± 0.1mm) only.

Panel divided by routing and technological holes for breaking
In this example breaking the bars (bridges) off is facilitated by boring of technical holes. The panel preparation will cost more, but mechanical treatment after the separation of the PCBs will be avoided.

The next picture shows an example construction of the linking bars (bridges):
